Blended Class Length of Class: up to .5 hours Includes: Adult Child and Infant training Certification: American Heart Association Two Year Certification Course Meets:Medical, State, Federal and OSHA Requirements The Blended American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Blended course teaches CPR for all ages, AED usage, and choking treatment. Life-threatening situations and CPR are taught. It provides single-rescuer and team basic life support techniques for pre-hospital and in-facility treatment for healthcare professionals and trained first responders. Medical personnel and those seeking higher knowledge and abilities must take it. Skills demonstration earns students a two-year BLS course completion card. Section 1, AHA online course Coursework on the American Heart Association website is emailed to students. Students pace themselves. The student prints the course completion certificate to give his Part 2 instructor. Part 1 should take 2 hours, although students can work on tiny chunks and finish the course over several days. Part 2, AHA-certified instructor-led skills practice Students demonstrate AED, Compressions, and Breathing. The student uses compressions, breathing, and AED in a rescue scenario. Adult, child, and infant talents. Choking follows. Part 2 should last 30–60 minutes depending on class style and student experience. Parts 1 and 2 complete the course.
